Fancy text generator
How it works: Unicode, not a font
A font changes how the same letters look. This generator does something else: it swaps each letter for a different Unicode character that already looks styled. The bold 𝐀 you copy is the character U+1D400, MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL A, not an A in a bold font. That is why the style survives a paste into apps that only accept plain text.
Unicode created these letters for maths, phonetics and East Asian typesetting, so they cover the 26 Latin letters and often the digits. Letters without a styled twin stay as they are, and nothing you type is dropped. Besides the alphabets there are lines, frames and glitch effects that add marks around your letters instead of replacing them: 41 styles in all.
- Type or paste your text. The rows update with every key.
- Tap a row. The whole row is a copy button, and a small note confirms the copy.
- Paste it into your bio, a caption, a chat or a game name.
Where it works and where it doesn’t
Fancy letters are ordinary characters, so they work wherever text works: bios, captions, comments, chats and most game names. Whether your friends see them depends on the fonts on their device. The table shows how widely each style displays with the default fonts of iOS 15+, Android 10+ and Windows 10+.

Name and bio limits we checked
Apps count fancy letters as characters too, and some count them as two. These numbers come from each app’s own help pages:
| App | Field | Limit | Fancy text |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bio | 150 characters | Allowed | |
| TikTok | Name | 30 characters | Allowed |
| TikTok | Username | 24 characters | Plain letters only |
| TikTok | Bio | 80 characters | Allowed |
| Discord | Username | 32 characters | Plain letters only |
| Discord | Display name | 32 characters | Allowed |
| Fortnite | Display name | 16 characters | Allowed |
Checked on 2026-10-22 on each app’s help pages. Tap a limit to open the source.
Accents and special letters (é, ç, ã, ñ)
Styled alphabets only have the 26 basic letters. To keep é, ç or ñ, the generator splits an accented letter into its base and its accent mark, styles the base and puts the mark back on top. Here is the same text in four styles:
- Bold𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞́ 𝐙𝐨𝐞̈accent kept
- Cursive𝒞𝒶𝒻ℯ́ 𝒵ℴℯ̈accent kept
- Gothicℭ𝔞𝔣𝔢́ ℨ𝔬𝔢̈accent kept
- BubbleⒸⓐⓕé Ⓩⓞëletter stays plain
Rows with a green “accents ✓” badge keep accents this way. Bubbles, squares and small caps have no slot for a mark, so there the accented letter stays plain instead of disappearing.

Tips for bios and names
- Style one thing: your name or the first line. A whole bio in fancy letters is hard to read.
- Keep usernames plain. Most apps only allow letters, numbers, dots and underscores there; put the fancy version in the display name. For game names use the nickname generator.
- Fancy letters can count as two characters. Check a long bio in the character counter before you paste it.
- Finish with a few symbols like ♡ ✧ ⋆ instead of mixing three styles. For an empty-looking line, use an invisible character.
Accessibility: how screen readers read fancy text
Screen readers don’t see a style, they see characters. 𝐇𝐢 may be read as “mathematical bold capital H, mathematical bold small i”, or skipped. Search engines and in-app search also treat these letters as different from normal ones.
So use fancy text for decoration: a name, a heading, a mood line. Keep important information, like dates, prices, links and instructions, in plain text so everyone can read and find it.
Questions people ask
Why do some letters show as boxes?
A box (□) means the device showing the text has no font for that character. Bold, italic, cursive and gothic display on nearly all current phones. Subscript and mirrored letters are the most likely to fail on older Android phones.
Can I use these fonts on Instagram and WhatsApp?
Yes. Paste them into your Instagram name, bio, captions and comments, and into WhatsApp messages, your name and About. Usernames are the exception: they usually accept only plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores.
Do fancy fonts work with accents (é, ç, ã)?
In most styles, yes: the accent is kept as a mark on the styled letter. Styles with a green “accents ✓” badge do this. In bubble, square and small caps styles accented letters stay plain.
Are these real fonts?
No. They are Unicode characters that look like styled letters. That is why they work in apps where you can’t change the font, and why they keep their look when you copy them again.
Is it safe? Do you store my text?
Your text is converted on your own device and never sent to us. The last thing you typed is kept only in this browser tab and disappears when you close it.
How do I make cursive text?
Type your text and copy the “Cursive” or “Bold cursive” row. The cursive generator shows all script variants and the full cursive alphabet.
