Underline text generator
What Underline text is
Apps remove underline formatting when you paste, so this style builds the line into the text: after each character comes U+0332 COMBINING LOW LINE, which most fonts draw as one joined line. The double underline uses U+0333. Both are combining marks, so they work on any letter, from é to the Cyrillic ж.
Every Underline character comes from the Combining Diacritical Marks block, which Unicode added in version 1.1. It is one of the safest styles: current iPhones, Android phones and Windows PCs draw it with their built-in fonts. Accents stay on: typing “Café Zoë” gives C̲a̲f̲é̲ ̲Z̲o̲ë̲.

Where to use Underline text
Underlining marks a title, a key word or a link-style label in a bio. Use it sparingly: a whole underlined paragraph is tiring to read.

Questions people ask
How do I underline text on Instagram?
Copy the underline row and paste it. The line is part of the characters, so Instagram keeps it.
Why is my underline dotted or broken?
Each character carries its own short line, and some fonts don’t join them perfectly. Most current phones show a continuous line.
Will Underline text show on every phone?
Yes, on practically all current devices. Only very old systems may show a box.
Does Underline text work with accents?
Yes. Accented letters keep their marks, for example C̲a̲f̲é̲ ̲Z̲o̲ë̲.
Can I use Underline text on Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp?
Yes: in names, bios, captions and messages. Usernames are stricter, and most apps allow only plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores there. The fancy text generator lists the limits we checked.
