Why fancy text works on TikTok
TikTok shows names, bios and captions in its own font, and there is no way to switch it. Unicode letters carry their style with them instead. TikTok’s help pages give clear limits: the name holds up to 30 characters and the bio up to 80. The username is stricter and allows only letters, numbers, underscores and periods, so fancy letters go in the name, not the @handle.
How to paste fancy text into TikTok
iPhone
- Tap a style above. A “Copied” note appears.
- Open TikTok, tap Profile, then Edit profile, and tap Name or Bio.
- Touch and hold the text field, tap Paste, then save.
Android
- Tap a style above to copy it.
- Open TikTok, tap Profile, then Edit profile, and tap Name or Bio.
- Long-press the text field, choose Paste, then save.
