Tiny text generator
What Tiny text is
Unicode has no small font, but it has small letters: raised modifier letters from phonetics, the superscript digits ⁰ to ⁹, small capitals and a handful of subscripts. The superscript set is almost complete; the one letter phoneticians never needed raised is q, so q stays normal. Subscript is the patchiest of the three, with only some letters available, so mixed sizes are normal there.
Every Tiny character comes from the Phonetic Extensions block, which Unicode added in version 5.1. The main run has 24 gaps, filled with characters that were encoded elsewhere: ⁰ (U+2070), ¹ (U+00B9), ² (U+00B2), ³ (U+00B3), ⁴ (U+2074), ⁵ (U+2075), ⁶ (U+2076), ⁷ (U+2077), ⁸ (U+2078), ⁹ (U+2079), ᶜ (U+1D9C), ᶠ (U+1DA0), ˢ (U+02E2), ⱽ (U+2C7D), ˣ (U+02E3), ʸ (U+02B8), ᶻ (U+1DBB), ʰ (U+02B0), ⁱ (U+2071), ʲ (U+02B2), ˡ (U+02E1), ⁿ (U+207F), ʳ (U+02B3), ʷ (U+02B7). Q q have no Tiny twin, so the generator leaves them plain. It displays on most current devices; a few older phones may swap single characters for boxes. Accented letters are left as normal letters here: “Café Zoë” → ᶜᵃᶠé ᶻᵒë.

Where to use Tiny text
Tiny text works for a signature under a post, a quiet aside in a bio or a decorative second line. Small letters are hard to read on phones, so keep them to a few words.

Questions people ask
How do I make my text small on Instagram?
Copy the tiny or small caps row and paste it into your bio or caption. Instagram has no font size setting, so small characters are the way to do it.
Why do some tiny letters look bigger than others?
The superscript letters come from several Unicode blocks made for phonetics, and fonts draw them at slightly different sizes and heights. Small caps look more even if that bothers you.
Will Tiny text show on every phone?
Mostly yes. A few older phones lack some of the characters and show □ instead.
Does Tiny text work with accents?
Not fully. Accented letters stay plain in this style, for example ᶜᵃᶠé ᶻᵒë. Bold, italic and cursive keep accents.
Can I use Tiny text on Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp?
Yes: in names, bios, captions and messages. Usernames are stricter, and most apps allow only plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores there. The fancy text generator lists the limits we checked.
