Cookies and local storage
Last updated October 23, 2026
EmojiKite uses very little storage and, at present, no cookies of its own. This page lists everything that may be stored in your browser and why.
Strictly necessary
ts-consent (local storage): records your privacy choice and the date you made it, so you are not asked again on every page. It exists only once you have made a choice, and you are asked again after twelve months.
Preferences (local storage)
p04:recent, p04:favs, p04:tray, p04:skinTone and p04:theme keep your recently copied symbols, your favourites, the line you are collecting, your emoji skin tone and your light or dark theme. They stay on your device, are never sent anywhere, and exist only if you use those features.
Session storage
p04:fancyInput and p04:nickInput keep the text you typed into the fancy-text and nickname generators until you close the tab.
Analytics
_ga and _ga_<ID> (cookies, up to 2 years): set by Google Analytics 4 to tell one visit from the next. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are set only after you agree. Elsewhere they are set by default until you switch analytics off in the privacy settings.
Advertising
None at present. EmojiKite does not show ads yet, so no advertising cookies are set.
Changing your choice
Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to change your choice at any time. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; this also clears your favourites and recent symbols.
