How do I type ξ on a laptop without a numeric keypad?

What is the difference between ξ and 𝛏?
ξ is the xi symbol (U+03BE). 𝛏 is a different character: 𝛏 (U+1D6CF, Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block). They can look alike, but computers treat them as different letters, so a search for one will not find the other.
How do I type ξ on an iPhone?
