What ✓ means and how it is used

The check mark ✓ (U+2713) means yes, done or correct in lists, forms and tables. Its heavy version ✔ may turn into a colour emoji on phones, while ✓ normally stays text. In Japan and Korea a circle ○ traditionally marks a correct answer, and a check can even mean 'needs attention'.

It sits in the check marks with 32 symbols, among them ✔ ✗ ☑ ☐ ✘.
